Sandbach street attack by teenagers

Police are appealing for information after a man was assaulted by three youths in Sandbach.

The victim, a 20-year-old local man, was walking along London Road at approximately 10.30pm on Friday January 26 when he was approach by two teenage girls and one teenage boy.

The teenagers, all believed to be between ages of 15 and 17, subsequently assaulted the man, hitting him in the face and stomach.

As a result of the attack the victim sustained a cut to the face which required hospital treatment.

PC Speirs said: “The victim has been left extremely shaken as a result of this attack and we are committed to doing all that we can to trace the people responsible.

“London Road is one of the main roads in Sandbach and as part of my investigation I’m keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident at the time of the incident and believes they may have witnessed anything suspicious.

“I’m also keen to speak to anyone who was driving along London Road 10.00pm and 11pm who has a dashcam fitted to their vehicle.

“I urge anyone with any information to contact the team here at Crewe on 101.”
